  • Contains inulin which helps with the good bacteria that is found in your digestive system.

  • Artichoke leaf extract has shown to help with bile production from the liver.

Tips & Other Info.

  • When purchasing artichokes make sure that the leaves are closed tight. If the outer layer is dry and hard, skip it. 

  • You can add artichoke hearts in your salad or on your pizza.

  • Another delicious way to eat is if you grill it! First i usually boil the artichoke, cut it in half, then toss it on the grill. Meanwhile I prepare a bowl of olive oil, lemon, dash of salt , and crushed garlic. As soon as it is off the grill brush it with the olive oil mixture. Don't be afraid to brush it a couple of times to get the garlic pieces on there.

Plant in early to mid spring (March-April).
Harvest in late spring (May) to Early Summer (June)
After you have harvest the last one on a given branch or stalk, cut down the stalk to about 1 foot high off of the ground to promote a second harvest, possibly during fall (September-November)
Water well every week because they need lots of water. Add organic mulch during winter (December-February)
Full sun with afternoon shade.
