  • Contains an enzyme called bromelain which helps break down protein, which in turn helps with the digestive system

  • Has anti-inflammatory properties, which affects conditions like injuries/surgeries, arthritis as well as sore throat.

Tips & Other Info.

  • Pineapples should be washed with a veggie/fruit wash before it is sliced. 

  • If the pineapple is sliced, store it in a container and place some of the pineapple juice inside the container. Can last about 1 week in the refrigerator.

  • Can't go wrong with a simple pineapple juice.

  • Perfect sweetner for a smoothie.

  • Slice up the pineapples into small cubes and add it on top of your carne asada, or on your pizza! 

  • When making salsa, add some pineapple in there too.

  • When making kebab, add some pineapple on the skewers in between the meat. Because just like papayas and mangos it is a meat tenderizer.

Plant in spring (March-May) in a soil that is more sandy with a little loam soil, with a pH level of 5-6.5. If planting in a container, use a 12 in (in diameter) container with organic compost.
Watering: Regular watering is needed especially when newly planted or being established. Feeding: Add organic mulch, which will help with maintaining moister as well. During growing season add high nitrogen and potassium feed every 4 weeks.
Full sun
Can be grown in container or in grown. But those in containers will produce smaller fruit.
