Plant in a warm, fertile, well drained soil that has a pH level of 6-7. Papayas need two trees planted near each other to help produce better fruit. Typically one male tree is good for 5 female trees. | Prune any branches that are growing horizontally, as well as branches that have already provided fruit (cut back to about 12 inches). | Feeding: Add about 2 lbs of fertilizer every year (spread it out to two times per year). Apply organic compost to help retain moisture.
Watering: Water well especially on dry days. | Sun |
