Potted / In Ground

Plant in its dormant season, between late fall (November) to early spring (March). When planting soil pH level should be 6.5-7.
Summer (June-August)
Late summer (August) thin out the leaves so that sunlight can get to the grapes. Prune in the winter
Feeding: Add fertilizer (about 2 1/2 oz/sq.yd.) in late winter (February), as well as sulfate of potash (about 1/2 oz/sq.yd.). Add organic mulch (like manure or garden compost) for the first 5 years, but avoid having the mulch touch the stem or be too close to the stem. Watering: Grapes do need water for the first 1-2 years but after that they have deep roots which makes them drought tolerant.
