Tips & Other Info.
When getting bananas try to find the ones that still have a slight green hint to it. You will have time for it to ripen. Once it is yellow with not hint of green then it is ready and should be eaten within the next day or two.
If you have yellow bananas and know you will not eat them in two days, freeze them. You can puree them (add a tiny bit of lemon juice so it doesn't turn brown) and then freeze them. Or you can peel them wrap them in clear wrap and then freeze it.
Usually when I freeze the banana i make a banana cake with it or a smoothie.
Frozen bananas are also a healthier alternative for ice cream, especially for kids. Cut the banana in half, put a popsicle stick from the side that was cut and freeze.
