How It Helps:

  • Contains capsaicin which can help with inflammation as well as pain relief. Capsaicin can also help with stomach ulcers or help prevent gallbladder stones by increasing acid production as well as mucus production in the stomach, and preventing from stones forming in gallbladder by maintaing proper liver function. 

  • Antioxidant properties

  • Can help protect the eyes from cataracts.

  • Can help prevent heart attacks by preventing blood clots from forming

  • Can also help reduce cholesterol levels.

Tips & Other Info.

  • Did you know red bell peppers have more nutrients then green bell peppers?

  • Usually done in the summer time, make your own dried ground pepper seasoning or pepper paste. I usually do this with a pepper that has a little zing of spicy to it (Fresno Chili). 

  • If you have some peppers that are going to start going bad, slice them up (thin long pieces), put them in a ziploc and store in the freezer. When making home made fajitas take them out the freezer and saute them with some sliced onions and add to your fajita.
